A Lifelong Advocate for Wyoming’s Libraries
In 1978, Gloria Brodle made the move from California to Wyoming, drawn by her husband’s work and the desire to be closer to his family. The moment she set foot in Wyoming, she was captivated by the state’s breathtaking beauty and the warmth of its people. Wyoming quickly became home, a place where Gloria and her husband, Tom, raised their two daughters and now enjoy the company of their seven grandchildren.
Gloria’s journey with the Fremont County Library System began in 1985 when she started as a part-time circulation clerk at the Riverton Branch Library. Her dedication and passion for libraries were evident from the start, and over the years, she earned several promotions, ultimately retiring as Branch Manager in 2017. Throughout her career, Gloria developed a deep love for the library and its vital role in the community, serving as a hub for knowledge, culture, and connection.
Retirement didn’t diminish Gloria’s commitment to the library system. In fact, it strengthened her resolve to support the libraries she holds dear, especially during challenging times. Joining the Fremont County Library Foundation was a natural extension of her lifelong dedication to ensuring that everyone in the community has access to the resources and opportunities that libraries provide.
Gloria’s love for Wyoming and its people, coupled with her decades of service in the library system, make her an invaluable advocate for the Fremont County Library Foundation. Her passion and experience continue to drive her efforts to support and sustain the libraries that are so integral to the community she loves.
